Effective
Approaches in Addressing
Mitochondrial
Metabolic Diseases
Sunday,
May 7, 2017 | 1:00 pm | Room C
Sheraton Times Square
New York, NY
The
results of conventional cancer treatment are generally disappointing. In
this lecture, Dr. Schachter takes a critical look at current diagnostic
tests and treatment modalities for cancer. Alternative approaches to
treatment may offer patients possibilities that are not generally
considered by conventional cancer specialists. He will discuss how people
can reduce the risk of developing cancer through the implementation of
relatively simple nutritional and lifestyle strategies. He will also
discuss how the results of conventional therapy can be improved by adding
nutritional, lifestyle and nutritional supplements to a conventional
protocol. To learn more about NAVEL EXPO, click here.

Annual Integrative Medicine Cancer Conference of Breast Cancer Options
New Developments in Integrative Cancer Therapies
Sunday, April 17,
2016 | 8am - 4pm
SUNY New Paltz Lecture Center
New Paltz, New York
Dr. Schachter spoke about the nature of cancer and
how the prevailing view of most oncologists may NOT be correct. He
discussed cancer as a mitochondrial-metabolic disease rather than a
somatic-mutation nuclear disease. Cancer stem cells and their resistance
to chemotherapy and radiation was discussed. Relatively non-toxic
approaches may be used to help cancer patients in ways other than just
supporting conventional treatments. Among the strategies discussed were:
salvestrols, vitamins D and K2 (MK4), IV C drips, IV alpha lipoic acid
drips and oral low dose naltrexone.

Understanding Cancer:
New Strategies for Prevention and Treatment
Thursday, May 14, 2015 at 7:00 PM
Dr. Schachter lectured at the CARE Support Group
Meeting in Ridgewood, NJ on Understanding Cancer: New Strategies for
Prevention and Treatment. In this lecture, Dr Schachter debunked
the current predominant theory on the nature of cancer and offered an
alternative based on the works of Warburg and Seyfried. He maintains that
conventional oncology should not be accepted as a given, and that various
non-toxic strategies should be used synergistically
instead.
Dr. Schachter's approach combines numerous non-toxic therapies. He
highlighted the use of citric acid, salvestrols, the fat soluble vitamins,
minerals, the Beljanski products and "smart sugars" to prevent
and treat cancer.

Evolved Oncology: Lessons for Primary Care
Monday, January 5, 2015
Live from New York at 8:00 PM, EST
Dr Schachter spoke at this special event which was streamed and
still can be seen online on YouTube.
The theme for this event was a discussion on cancer
and Dr Schachter, along with Nicholas Gonzalez MD and Gabriel Hoffman MD,
were keynote speakers.

event: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6J5ZZil_sR8
Note: By clicking on the above link, you will
be able to view the entire Functional Forum's program on Integrative
Oncology presented on January 5, 2015. Dr. Schachter's presentation was
the first formal presentation and begins about 10 minutes into the
program. Dr. Gonzalez's very interesting lecture is the second
presentation. There is also the panel, which responds to questions from
the chairperson and the audience. There were some technical problems
with the sound system during the presentation. The full transcript of
Dr. Schachter's presentation which includes additional information that
could not be included at the conference because of time constraints, can
be viewed here.
In this lecture, Dr. Schachter discussed his views on
the prevention and treatment of cancer at the Schachter Center. He starts
by questioning some of the strategies of conventional oncology, including
radiation for breast cancer. He then attempts to answer the questions as
to what causes cancer and why we have such an epidemic of it at the
present time.
He cites the research of Otto Warburg as to the nature of
cancer and the work of Brian Peskin as it relates to this epidemic. This
discussion leads to recommendations made to patients at the Center.
Next he discusses how the enzyme CYP1B1 appears in cancer
cells, but not in normal cells, and how the natural substances called
salvestrols may be used to help prevent cancer and manage cancer patients.
These salvestrols react with the CYP1B1 enzyme to form metabolites that
stimulate programmed cell death in cancer cells.
Other strategies used at the Schachter Center, such as the
recommendations of fat-soluble vitamins D, A and K2 as well as
glycobiology were also discussed.

Restoring Kids' Health Holistically
part of a series of shows hosted by Gracelyn Guyol
Preventing and Managing Violent Behavior
Dr. Schachter was interviewed on June 25 and again
on July 2, discussing holistic,
non-pharmaceutical alternatives which may help to alleviate the violent
behavior exhibited by many young people today. Our news continues to be
full of shocking incidents committed by children and teens, despite their
being on prescribed meds. Dr. Schachter explained how making healthy
changes in diet and balancing neurotransmitters through nutritional
supplementation can bring vast improvement in childhood and young adult
behavior.
The Schachter Center now has both DVDs of Dr.
Schachter's two-show interview: Managing & Preventing Violent
Behavior, Part 1 (June 25, 2013) and Managing & Preventing
Violent Behavior, Part 2 (July 2, 2013), both available for purchase.
(Other DVDs by Dr. Schachter are also available. See the list here.)
Gracelyn Guyol's press release for this show follows:
Press Release Submitted by Gracelyn Guyol:
Psychiatrist
Offers Ways to Reduce Violent Behavior in Kids
Stonington,
CT --While global media focused on potential gun legislation following
the Newtown school shootings, author and cable TV producer Gracelyn Guyol
began a new 13 show series of 55 minute interviews with medical
practitioners on Restoring Kids Health Holistically, including
seven episodes about effective, drug-free methods for treating violence
and other mental disorders in children.
Two interviews of Michael B.
Schachter, MD, on Preventing and Managing Violent Behavior will
air June 25 and July 2, at 9 PM EST, on Comcast Channel 12. Dr. Schachter
is a board certified psychiatrist, former president of the American
College for Advancement in Medicine, and director of the Schachter Center
for Complementary Medicine in Suffern, NY. He has treated mental illness
for 30 years using nutritional, orthomolecular and environmental medicine
before resorting to psychiatric drugs.
On June 25th, Dr Schachter
explains why he treats integratively, beginning with what school shooters
and many mass murderers have in common: use of SSRIs (selective serotonin
reuptake inhibitors), a group of antidepressants known to trigger mania,
psychosis, hostility, aggression, and suicide. Despite FDA "Black
Box" warnings to this effect on all SSRIs, roughly 250 million
prescriptions are filled each year due to pharmaceutical industry's
influence over the American Medical Association and most physicians'
education.
The second interview of Dr. Schachter, airing July 2,
outlines a holistic, drug-free approach. Why a nutrient-dense, healthy
diet is necessary for emotional balance. How lack of sleep, excess sugar,
junk food and gluten intolerance or other allergies contribute to
violence. Studies are introduced demonstrating how daily vitamin and
mineral supplements reduce juvenile delinquency and that just one elevated
toxin in children - lead - correlates with later criminality, making
detoxification crucial to recovery. He explains the relationship between
increased violence in kids and their high "body burden" of
toxins from too many vaccines, chemicals, and environmental pollutants
interfering with gene functions, and offers steps toward reversing this
sad trend.
